Can We Be At 100% in 14 Days? The April Fools Challenge

Yesterday was April Fools Day.  I don’t really participate in the day, but I do love to see what type of pranks and tricks people play.  The advent of the internet has added a whole new level of prankdom.

This year it got me thinking about how foolish it might seem for us to load up our family and move them from a place we love to a place on the other side of the world.  Don’t get me wrong, we love Perth, AU and can’t wait to get there and start.  But I sometimes sit back and think I must be crazy.

As this was running through my mind,  I was reminded of 1 Corinthians 1:25-31, “For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.  But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being  might boast in the presence of God.  And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

So I had another foolish idea.  Our family will return to Indianapolis on April 16, that is 14 days from tomorrow.  We have been traveling the West Coast visiting churches, friends and family and partner raising the whole way.  We would love to be at 100% for our monthly support by the time we arrive home.  That is $3950.  That averages out to $283 dollars in pledges a day.  That seems like a fool’s dream for sure. Impossible, but I am reminded that nothing is impossible on the journey with God.

So here is the April Fools Challenge,
