As I write to you today I am listening to the rain fall on the windows of the room i will be sharing with my wife and 4 girls (Braden got bumped into another room with interns) for the next 3 1/2 weeks out side of Brussels, Belgium for CCMI (Cross-cultural Ministry Internship). God is pretty amazing and terrifying.
For the last 6 years we have been on what at times has felt like a prodding journey back toward full time ministry. It has been at the same time frustrating and life giving. We have seen God continue to shape and prepare us for something but could not really figure out the specifics. We would pray for doors to open and they would be shut. God provided support from our church family, our families and from Holy Spirit. We thought it would be great to have things moving faster.
Wow! We had no clue! God is moving very quickly as we continue to pursue His call for us to Perth! Since we arrived back from Launch in Mid March we began our support raising and God has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams. In April we did not think we would be able to attend this great and mandatory training. But God provided the way. We needed to have 50% of our monthly budget pledged by June 1st. God has provided partners at 60% of our budget pledged. There needed to be space available at the training and there wasn’t in April but by May God provided space.
While there is still much to be done and things could slow down as we begin and complete the visa process for Oz. It has been a terrifying and exciting time trying to hold on as God moves “pedal to the metal.”
It is a good and gracious reminder that God is in control and His timing is perfect.
